How should I book my tour?

You can speak with one of our Travel Specialists by calling our toll free number at 1-800-424-0831 or register online to let us know when to best get in touch with you. What are my payment options?
Payments can be made by Visa, Master Card, American Express, check, money order, Money Gram or Western Union.
Do you offer a payment plan?

A $50 fee per person applies to any payment plan changes. A $25 late fee applies to payments received more than 10 days past due. Rubylu reserves the right to cancel reservations due to non-payment, or accounts in arrears, and current cancellation fees will apply. Non-sufficient fund fee is $25. Rates do not include airfare, NDA or optional excursions. Ask your Travel Specialist about airfare discount codes. Rates do not include airport transfers.
What are the accommodations like?
Accommodations are all four, and five, star hotels and resorts. At Ruby Lu Jungle Tours we strive to give you a first class vacation experience during your travels throughout Latin America.
What should I pack?
Please see the Packing Suggestions section of our site. We think it will be helpful.
What about smoking?
Our busses are non- smoking vehicles, though we make frequent “pit stops” for longer trips. Latin America has not quite caught up with the whole idea of "no smoking" in public places, so smokers shouldn’t have any trouble finding a place to light up while still being respectful of those who do not smoke. Please notify us if you have a preference about smoking, or non-smoking, room accommodations.
Are there 12 step meetings?
Yes. An all-inclusive, daily, open 12 step meeting will be facilitated if two or more of our guests puts in a request for them. Also, in San Jose, and Manuel Antonio, there are English speaking open Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and we will be happy to provide you with meeting times and locations.
What if I’m traveling solo?
Traveling solo with Ruby Lu can be a great experience because the tour group is always full of fun people and it is, of course, a safer and better way to travel alone. Our Travel Specialists will arrange a room-share based on smoking and non-smoking travelers. A single occupancy price is available for those wishing to book private accommodations.
What if I have special needs?
Whenever possible, Ruby Lu tries to accommodate guests with special needs. However, the following conditions apply: Any physical disability, or mental condition, that requires special treatment, or attention, must be reported to your Rubly Lu Travel Specialist when the reservation is made; Ruby Lu has the right to refuse, or revoke, passage/ participation to anyone who, in its judgment, is in a physical, or mental, condition that makes them unfit for travel or who may require care beyond that which Ruby Lu can provide. Ruby Lu reserves the right to deny participation in certain activities based on past or present conditions.
All guests with disabilities must be self-sufficient and should travel with a guest who will provide any necessary assistance during the trip or in the event of an emergency. Guests who use a wheelchair must provide their own small, collapsible chair and may find certain areas inaccessible. Questions? Please contact our guest services department.
Should I purchase travel insurance?
Yes! We strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance.
Will I need vaccinations or inoculations?
When travel is directly from North America, no vaccinations are currently required for any of our tours. For the most up to date health and vaccination information, visit the CDC CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION Travelers Health Section at http://www.cdc.gov/travel/ .
